I rate it. We had what - 7 or 8 HH people on there last night and it was a real blast (sometimes literally).

DODS could prove a nice break from TF2 for anyone who is getting a bit of dustbowl fatigue and wants to play something different but still play a FPS.

I do think it might need more firm admin'ing, given we had a few real trollish players on there last night at times. Any stranger who just trash talks people on their own servers needs a kicking, I just didn't know if it was the same admin setup as with our TF2 servers.

My (shiny jackbooted) opinion is that if we want to get the same high quality of players that we have on the TF2 servers on the DODS server then we may need to be a bit more 'aggressive' in dealing with fools. DOD suffered a bit from being fool heavy, as did CS, and I think we should try to keep em out. Any other thoughts?

Thats good to know. As with ff on you get a few clowns that come on like last night. Some guy was complaning about me becuase i was using the Thompson and i was killing him alot. So the next game he joined my team and was teamkilling me and just lower my health all the time.

Yeah, I agree with this 'fool' based initiative. I certantly pity them.

DOD gets a little getting used to, life is so cheap compared to TF2. You can kill 10 people in a row, then spend the next 10 rounds being killed by a sniper a million miles away and one pixel wide.

That said I am quite enjoying it now. We need more people on the servers, we should keep this server up for a while so we get more regs playing it.

Mebbe we should have a clan vs reg game of DOD just to stir up interest?

Oh yeah, that'd certainly help. Been sitting on the server for a few hours before with J-man and Tom only, a little organisation sure wouldnt hurt.

I picked it up for £4.30 inc exchange rate charges(dam stupid bank) downloading atm, i now am officaly broke, no really all i had was £5

excellent news!! Picked DOD:S a couple of days ago for my current STEAM account for £3.04 including exchange rate and some weird a$$ tax they put on it (it was a total of $5.86) so not bad at all. DOD:S is close to Enemy Territory by way of theme and weapons, so it's fairly familiar already. Aim is VERY difficult to master though!!! and there's no medic class which is quite bad!!
