It's FREE and It's NOT a demo. It's the complete multiplayer part of F.E.A.R. and is fully Punkbusted and compatible with the retail versions multiplayer. So any mods etc. will work and you can fight against anyone who owns it retail or free. It's a few years old now but still looks the nads. CTF is my fav mode. i played fear online on the 360 an 1st game i threw a grenade an it bounced off a plant round a corner then bounced off the top of some dudes head an exploded above him, that was my 1st ever mp fear kill an it was so epic that i've never been able to enjoy it since kinda tempted by this however, dont like the idea of possible haks tho, would be much more apealing if there is no mod servers |

I have the retail version of the game, i loved the singleplayer. Never went and played it online. Might install it and give it a whirl online. |

You can select "same version" severs via the filter and the game is Punkbuster enabled. |

Why the hell do they need my address if they say aren't going to send crap through the post to me? I downloaded it once, and the installer didnt initialise. So I downloaded it again from somewhere else, and it took ages to start the install process. About 5-10 mins from when I double clicked the installer to it actually starting. A lot like when attemped to try the Medal of Honor Airborne demo, only it wouldn't start up.

I'm sure if I was on a decent server, I might have enjoyed it. But after all the hassle I had I can't say I was overjoyed. It doesnt look as good as I remember videos were, and I've got everything whacked on as high as it goes. Like ET:QW, the weapons are all a bit souless, and tbh most of the time I was a bit confused. The two teams skins look the same, bar one being a bit lighter. True it's free, so I can't expect too much. But it was such a bugger setting it up I was expecting more. I'm guessing the full single player is a lot more interesting though. |
