I just bought it (yeah yeah, 2 yrs late, I know) since C&C bored the heck out of me.
Would like to arrange a multiplayer game some time if anyone else got it, I need the practice
(I stink...STINK I tell ya) and the ranks, noone wants to play me online cuz Im Lv.1

So, anyone playing it?

I'd love to play with ya. But with my mouse like it is I give up atm because I can't command my units properly. Can't tell them to face direction, I have to hammer the button just to tell em to move...
It's farcical.

I don't play online much though. Too many "1337" players who won't having anything to do with you, as you have found out. And because I've found the US useless online, it reads as lvl.1 for them, but I got to lvl 2 as the panzer elite. Though those were 4v4's and we trashed the US and Brits.

Been there, done that matey.
CoH and CoV. They both bored me eventually. If you want to play an MMORPG, I'm afraid your best bet is WoW, which I don't play because MMORPG'S bore the crap out of me.

Until Diablo 3 comes out, then play that.

Still need to familiarize myself with everything anyway, too often I just sit there, overwhelmed with constructing, capping, defending, repairing, different building routines for every army and so on and so on.

Spending all my time in SP skirmish atm, only joined 5 online-games so far; was kicked from 2 due to rank, one ended because we all got disconnected at once and 2 humiliating defeats

Also watched some skirmish-vids today, still much to learn.

Anyway...yeah, get a new mouse

I'm done with MMORPG's, played over 25 different ones (LC, VC, PW, 9D, 2M, CO, L2, USKO, MYKO, FKO, RAN, WYD...I could go on), including WoW (still got a lvl 60 char sitting on a frozen acc), I'm sick of it.

Diablo 3 being an exception though of course :>

Heres a tip, don't sit admiring the pretty graphics. That used to be my mistake.

And never underestimate infantry. 2 Wehrmacht Grenadier squads with a mix of panzershrecks and mg42s will be very effective, especially if they have been trained to lvl 3.
And choose a doctorine which suits your play style. I usually go for Blitzkrieg for the Wehrmacht because they get elite troopers that can be very useful. I usually go as Infantry commander for the US for the same reason. However Rangers have really been nerfed. Half the time their bazookas miss, usually the other half they bounce off the armour.

Basically don't go allies if you can help it.

Wrong game you muppet. Company of Heroes, not City of Heroes

Me, K3D and Ares having been playing this a little recently. Hito is also meant to be getting it soon. K3D and Hito will be pretty green so should be some good competition for you I'm next in skill level with Ares being a bit better atm.

I'm sure we can hook up some games soon. Not sure how you wanna do it though, you have to add friends in it by clicking so they need to be around, bit silly really. Get into irc or something first I think will be the easiest.

I call Company of Heroes, CofH to avoid confusion with people that don't know about City of Heroes lol. Also City of Heroes is referred to as CoX or Co* since the launch of Villains by the ppl that still play it

And sitting enjoying the gfx...only happens when I issue a barrage and 3 enemy tanks blow up, just cant miss that, gotta watch.

Yeah that sounds cool...instead of idling all day (hate irc, would have to setup client and reg etc first), maybe we can get together via steam or something, Im always on when I'm awake...and always up for a game.

So you have the expansion too? Well I'd say choose the Tank Hunters doctrine for the panzer elite, seeing as their primary weapon is armour. You can boost your panzerschreck power and get Hetzer tanks that only cost manpower. Very useful.

Wow that does sound useful...just played skirmish as Axis and lost vs. AI >.<
Panzer Elite it is...and off I go.

And ye, bought both via steam 2 days ago (I think), now I wish I hadnt, OF gave me lotsa trouble, now I gotta play it set to german. -shiver-
