Monkey 2 is my favorite one. It could have been Monkey 1 if it wasn't so short
The creation of the voodoo doll of Largo LaGrande (Who will be in the fifth again if there's ever one), the spit contest, the Governor's Mardi Gras, getting the four map pieces, framing Kate, the skeleton song .. I could go on forever with memories memories.
F-loads of pirates for you Spider There's even a talking skull who plans for world domination.
And he will, because Murray is a hard man.

Re: Monkey Island !!
Murray is legendary. So is Full Throttle, of course, and Day of the Tentacle. Nobody's forgetting Sam & Max, I hope, because it's a hilarious classic of the genre. Also, there's a Sam & Max reference in every Monkey Island game.
"You're an unfathomable well of something, Max." - Sam to Max, First episode of Season One.
Hit the Road is definately my favorite S&M game (lol, S&M). But some of the puzzles could really get to me and I'd spend atleast an hour when I was stuck. >< My favorite character is the foul mouthed tool bender, after Max ofcourse.
I love the way they invented Guybrush Threepwood's name. For those who don't know, his first name was decided when they were drawing him, the file name was Guy.brush and since they couldn't think of a name they went for Guybrush. His last name was decided through a vote the entire staff of LucasArts participated in.

Re: Monkey Island !!
As superb as Grim Fandango was, I think it was let down by the control system. 3D adventure games rarely work, in my experience. It worked quite well in The Longest Journey, but that wasn't Lucasarts and so not even half as charming as the true staples.
No modern 3D adventure game will ever evoke the same feeling the oldschool 2D games did, and still do. It's simply how it should be!
I also enjoy Broken Sword 1 and 2 even though it's not LucasArts.

Broken Sword 1 and 2 were fantastic. I really didn't like 3 or 4 at all; 3D nonsense again, I suppose. Gabriel Knight 1 is worth checking out and, if you don't mind the FMVs, so might Gabriel Knight 2. GK1 is 2D with great voice acting but it's from Sierra, so you can die in annoying ways.
