I will be playing TF2 anyway. I know if I bought Spore I wouldn't play it that much. I always get sick of the Sims in about a hour.

Re: Well, Spore is out.
The creature creating is fun, they forgot to focus on the gameplay though.
Walking up to some different species and mashing the same button over and over until you can move onto the next minigame isnt fun and I don't see why even someone who actually likes the game would play through it more than 2-3 times.
It lacks depth. I thought that the creature's stats and abilities would be affected by how they were formed - a species with longer legs woudl run faster than one with small stumps , for example. But it seems you can have a weird one legged creature that sprints everywhere just fine as long as you've unlocked the right coloured feet
I'm not going to forgive a game for being shallow and unenjoyable just because its 'meant for casual gamers'
hmm, the dude that made it said its more of a toy than a game, which i thought would turn out ....erm, boring by the looks of it, but its kinda sounding like he's achieved this which is interesting.
altho the 1 legs being the same as many? is that how it is, only visual differences? hope not cause that is massive disapointment for me, i wanted to make the ball of death, just a ball that was covered in feet and mouths, rolling around munching stuff. crap if that would behave like a 1 legged dude.
Well I've just terraformed 2 worlds from barren rocks to life bearing worlds for my spice colonies. I've met a friendly race I've established trade routes with with an eye to buying their green spice planet. I've been fighting pirates to unlock my military abilities and been painting a few random planets with chocolate seas and green skies with the artifacts I found on an exploration journey.
I'm hoping to buy a monolith so I can uplift the tribal civ near my home star and trade with them.
You say this game has no depth?
I've come to the conclusion that all the stages before space are nothing more than a complex character generator where you determine your abilites for the proper game. (You CAN skip them once you've done them once.) Don't get so hung up on them.

Space stage could have been fun, unfortunately theres hardly any chance to keep exploring as you get spaceships attacking your home every 30 seconds. You say the game is for creative types, i would imagine many people would get sick of being dragged from their creativityness to play bodyguard all the time.
I think theyd get fed up of having to coem on this ofrum and post a reply to maoners constatly, they liek the game you dont doesent mean you need to constantly troll about it on the forums

Re: Well, Spore is out.
since when was having a discussion on how good a game is, was 'trolling'
If saying you dont like something was considered 'trolling' then you'd have been banned months ago
Sam theres a point where a discussion stops being a discussion and jsut becomes an attempt at trying to have a pop at people

Re: Well, Spore is out.
I am discussing why I dislike a game, not trying to insult people who enjoy it. Where in this topic have I insulted anyone for enjoying the game?
I'm sorry that we dont live in happyland where everyone is overwhelmingly cheerful and the only things ever posted on forums are incredibly positive and boring. I'm surprised that you of all people would tell me to stop pointing out flaws in things and writing a lot of posts about them.
Now could someone delete this and the above few posts so we can get back on topic instead of getting sidetracked by who moans the most and why evreyone else should like things
