I've decided to back on this game when TF2 is getting too much attention atm, and because I just realized I never canceled my subscription and I've gotten the 3 year veteran rewards, go me. -.- Does anyone else play?

Played eq2 for about 9mth when it first came out but it was the same old same old, aka the grind.
I enjoyed eq more. Played Star Wars Galaxies which was a lot of fun but then they mucked about with the levels and skills and it went all console. I tried Vanguard (dull) and Rf Online (grind) also.

Definately prefer shooting things, Planetside has been my long term bank leech, though currently not paying subs

I played the trial of Everquest II, but didn't really get past that stage, I'm afraid. You and I were both on the SWG bandwagon, Furry. It's a pity they tipped the wagon over and set it on fire...
Even superheroes couldn't escape the MMO grind, speaking as a City of Heroes veteran. Anyone else played LotRO?

Played the trial, and I found it unbearable. 100 quests at the start and some involved running for 30 minutes to get across the map. More travel than fight imo.

Yup, that's about my experience of it as well. It's a pity they didn't try to move away from the basic MMO format of tired quests with too much running around, looking for a particular mob.

Bit of an MMO whore. Played most of the major ones. Played EQ 1 for years, then SWG, then moved to WoW, then Everquest 2, then Switched between Everquest 2 and COH for a while. I was actually played everquest 2 and enjoying it as of about october. But my subscription ran out, and Sony messed my account details up, and I couldn't pay again. After E-mailing them for weeks on end about it, they finally sorted it out, and I'd spent all my student loan and couldn't afford to subscribe Might be back on in January. What server you on?
