I know some people here play(ed) CS:S so I figured maybe you can help me with a problem; googled my arse off but only found year-old threads, maybe there's a solution now.

I'm keen on using a tiny crosshair (always have in CS) but when I set it to cl_crosshairscale 7777 like I prefer it, I can hardly see the damn thing...look:


Note I lowered the crosshairscale to 3500 for the screenshot, 7777 is alot smaller and even harder to see. Had a hard time finding this one to draw the frame around it, lol.

tl;dr is there a way to change the xhair color to like...pink? The standard-colors dont do it for me.

I'm no expert when it comes to Counter Strike, but a quick Google search led me to this thread on the GotFrag forums. Maybe it will help you solve the problem.

Pink Crosshair Colour

cl_crosshaircolor "234 0 255"

Type that in console as it is.

That crosshair is really small, i have mine on 1500 or 2000 and that is small. Try adjusting the brightness and you might be able to see the crosshair better. If that is 3500, 7777 is going to be impossible to see.

Thanks for the replies but the xhair color cant be adjusted in CS:S like that (with color codes like "234 0 255") anymore, I read so and tried it. Only cl_crosshaircolor "1"-"4" work apparently (red, green, yellow, lightblue).

And yes it is impossible to see at 7777, thats my point With 7777 it becomes more of a dot than a cross, which is what I want and its np if uc an change the color...

What kind of a game has a xhair thats hard to see, ridiculous. -.-
If I tune down the brightness I cant tell the difference between Ts and CTs over distance...loved 1.6 for being so customizeable, this is a load of crap to be frank.

Always hated the game but figured i could play it once in a while since I allready paid for it- wrong again.
