Minerva: Metastasis is brilliant, I have been playing it with Lofa in Synergy. It can be a bit unstable and crash at times but its such a well crafted mod it matches or even exceeds Valves work.

It's been years since I played HL2, playing it in coop is an interesting novelty. The only problem is all the weapons in it lack umm, 'GRR' with the exception of the shotgun. The pistol feels like a spudgun and a the machine gun sounds like staples falling on the floor.

Played this in a LAN with 4 players when it still wasn't a Steam integrated and gotta say it's an awesome mod. One of the best LAN games I've ever played, had tons of fun just punching enemies down and goofying around. Some minor bugs though and some custom stages are a pain, but we played HL2 campaign and ep1 almost from start to finish and had a blast.

So this has my approval. Haven't played online with randoms that much though, can imagine that it can be a pain but they're not all hopeless right..?
