Today, I was looking around town (mainly at 200 quid coats that I had no hope of getting) and popped into GAME for a looksee.
I was browsing the shelves, looking at the charts, and then turned my attention the 2 for 1 stall. You know, they have packs of 1-3 year old/less than popular games and flog 'em for a comparative pittance.
And into my vision popped somehing that appealed to a guilty little pleasure of mine.
A Star Trek game. (Legacy if you must know)
Ok, so I like Star Trek. Fair do's. It's not like I strap a cornish pasty to my forehead and run around shouting gibberish (not the pasty part anyway). But it just interests me. And anything with whacking great spaceships in it makes me happy.
So knowing full well I hadn't the cash to buy it, I just perused the box. But it went through my mind, "What the hell is the bloke at the till going to think if I hand this over?" "That woman with her kid in tow will think I'm some sort of quasi-human freak and rush her child to safety if they see me with it in my hands"
To make matters worse, just about everyone going into the shop was immediately making a beeline for the ever popular Wii section. And being so popular, normal people were coming in!
Hastily I put the box back, hoping to create the illusion I was a un-informed consumer.
So whats my point, pray tell?
Is the there any game you've bought or even simply desired that made you feel guilty?
Sing star. It was a shop where all the pro gamers (including me ) buy their games. When I left the store I got some "He must be gay" looks. The game wasn't for me though.

Firstly, cornish pasty on the head? HAHAH... Brilliant.
Secondly, no I haven't really. I really wanted Pokemon when I was younger, but I was strong and continued played Zelda on the Gameboy (the Game-brick-MASSIVE-PURPLE-BUTTON-boy) instead.

I had that one, it was huge. As for gay games....eh... the guy at Game looked at me strange when I ask for Oblivion. One thing I will say is that I like me some Pokemon
yup, what else am i supposed to do with it?the pixels look hand drawn by today's standards, and to complete any rpg you needed a wheelbarrow of battery's, or an ac adapter that my mum said was too expensive, so short sighted
any ways yeh, it was either that or make a shrine for it, and i dont think that would have gone down too well with the ladies
