I was horribly addicted to a cutesy free mmorpg a couple of years back. Cringeworthy to tell people that I would spend all day and night on it.

pokemon has to be one of the best handheld rpg's eva, it was just over commercialized.
pokemon is fucking great.
animal crossing is rather good too. although it pretty much has no goal, there is just so much to do that it get's addictive.
i remember importing the original on the gamecube and feeling slightly bemused by it all, but then realising there is so much fun in literally doing fuck all. only nintendo could make a game with no goal so good.
hmm, gotta say yeah i was a pokemon fan back in the day
I play eve online and some people see that as the spawn of satan

still have a soft spot for Transport Tycoon Deluxe. The game friggin rocks!!
if you still have the game about you can download http://www.openttd.org/en/, makes the game even more awesome if thats even possible! Adds extra stuff as well as multiplayer action.
hmmm dont usually geel guilty recently bought guitar hero world tour and that kinda made me feel guilty cuz of the cost and the fact that between me and a friend we own 3 guitars and just about all the games of guitar hero atm. When i look back feel a bit bad just cuz of the money really. have a good time playing them. Embarrasing purchase....uhmmm dunno mainly cuz most terrible old console games i have mostly rom'ed.
Must have been Harvest Moon for the GC... I effin' love Harvest Moon (although my GC gathers dust at the moment), and I needed this game, but at the shop I had that exact feeling. My solution: I asked to have it wrapped like a present (luckily it was close to xmas) and I left the shop, slightly less embarassed, but not proud of myself
Just going slightly off topic for a second. Spider, can you make more posts? I love reading them, you remind me of Yahtzee from the Escapist.
Anyway. One time when I was with loads of my mates, we went into a Chips store (Not a fish and chips store, a CHIP GAME store) and we looked at a lot of the games on the shelves. Of course it was crap like Gears of War, Halo 3 and other big titles flooding the store, with a little section for Wii games that had games like "Carnival" or something stupid like that. While my friends got entranced in the Gears of War 2 game they had set up on one side of the shop, I found myself in the "Old games aisle", where they had lovely games like Fallout 1 and 2, Civilization, Black and White 1, and loads of other games as such. But something stood out among the dusty old pile of games...
Now I had to buy this, WHAT A CLASSIC! However, my friends thought I was some sort of lunatic. Seriously, they thought I was joking when I said the title was "Jazz Jack Rabbit", they thought it was something else to do with "Jazzing". Besides that, I had to run the game in DOS on my sisters old computer though, bloody thing wouldn't work on my one.
