lol that's all very "rockstar", nothing beats companies living up to their name.
Was gonna say that's the second game I'm not gonna buy due to retarded DRM when I read this RA3-related news:
Quote:
DRM De-authroization - if you've maxed out at 5 machines, you can easily de-authorize any installation in-game with a few simple clicks. You won't have to worry about going through any special websites or requests, we're giving you the power in-game.
Suddenly EA > Rockstar, not good for rockstar. EA will still spy on you but they seem a tad less retarded.

Re: Grand Theft Auto IV
Right, stopped sobbing, time for a more balanced opinion.
The website Budr gives it a little crazy and extreme I feel. This DRM nonsense has never caused me a problem as I have said before and hasn't again. When running it the first time is just activated it, simple as that, never had a problem myself.
Likewise Games For Windows isn't an issue for me, it seems to run just fine in the background once registered, has done in Fallout 3 for hours with no problem, so skip that.
Rockstar Social Club is admittedly another silly thing you have to register with again, but once done, does not appear to be causing a problem.
Therefore whats the problem?
Well the game itself seems to be very resource heavy, or is it? That there is the problem, I can't tell. The main display menu will not let you change the graphics settings above the ones that the game thinks you can run.
Therefore here I am sitting here with a 8800GTS 256MB graphics card, running on a Quad Core processor, and the damn main menu will not let me choose anything above LOW texture settings.
I have been looking on the forums for a fix for this, and although there are many suggestions, I can't get any of them to damn well work
Therefore I am left with a game running at minimum settings, when I am sure it will still work with better settings, its just that the menu won't let me find out.
