The Gamesmaster- A must watch for the younger sprogs!
For those of you too teency to remember 'The Gamesmaster' was a totally awesome show of the 90's, pitting contestants against each other in games and featuring the astronomical forehead of Sir Patrick Moore (he's gotta be a Sir right?).
It contiuned as a magazine for a while after (may still exist for all I know) but I thought some of you who didnt sample the show back then would appreciate it's gaming credentials!

I actually think a guy that beat me at an expo once was on the show as the U.S. no.2/1 ... I cant quite remember. I remember being whipped in front of alot of people though!

Brill series, at its best in the early runs before Dominik Diamond left. One of the very few times that computer games have been adequetly served on TV.
Also liked the series Bits for slightly different reasons.

Seriously though- alot of people playing games now- Format could be re-worked for one of these ten-a-penny digital channels....

I used to love this show, I think it was Dominic Diamond that first showed me how to use the word 'Pants' in a comical fashion.
Was the age of 16 and in my last year at school when that episode aired. When did I get so old!
My mate met Patrick Moore at a book signing a few years ago> He said something , 'Hey I used to love you in Gamesmaster' To which he replied 'Yes, I never had the slightest clue what I was talking about throught the whole thing"

I think I even painted an old Kempston 2 Gold once with Citadel minature paint.
was about that age too when it finished... cant work out whether it seems ages ago or like yesterday!
