Post Bionic Commando 2009
Am keeping an eye on this one. Loved the origional, was looking for the 'Re-armed' remake and stumbled upon these.
Don't know about release but its next year for sure.

File comment: 'Bionic' should allow for loads of mech-like enemies!

File comment: er... a mech-like enemy

File comment: Swinging.... it was alll about the swinging.

File comment: This jump should... SHOULD result in swinging.

As long as I can swing, I'll be grinning. -There's enough Spidey engines they can pinch I'm sure.
Big bosses too please- plenty of.

Anyone played the 2D remake?

Funny, I stumbled upon that title the same way. :)

Also as a fan of the NES version, the trailer looks awesome though I might need a slight pc upgrade to play it. And yes, I enjoyed playing the "Re-armed" remake a lot. It was pretty challenging on medium difficulty and on hard I couldn't even pass the first stage. :P Oh well, might give it a decent try someday but I just didn't have the right mood (the famous "bash your head to the wall" -mood) at the time.

Some Multiplayer footage... interesting to say the least!

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TG1JgirA0DQ&feature=related

I really must reccomend Re-armed to everyone with a penchant for Side-scrolling shooters. In fact I'd reccomend it to everyone for the price of £10 or whatever it cost ($16 for me I think).

Really clever use of 3D for a 2D environment and some bigass bosses! One warning though- it is HARD! Even I had to lower myself to the easy setting!
If anyone here completes all those bloody challenge rooms I will give them a prize!

Some gameplay of Re-armed
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=spmRUMlBv8o- check similarity to origional! And the hint that within Re-armed there is an Unlock for a costume in the 2009 next-gen release! crrazy!

I'm going to echo the comments on youtube and say it looks like a post apocalyptic Spiderman.
Not necessarily a bad thing.

Spooky thing I just noticed when re-installing Re-armed is that it installs PhysX support!

I guess it has, er, ragdolls.... :?

MUST reccomend Re-armed to everyone. Best £10 I've spent in a long time... One of those time eating games of olde where you dont realise just how many attempts you've made at a level and it's long past bedtime.

Last 3 levels to do for me!
Oh
and you start to get FLY with that arm... Stick with it Raika!

but like I said- anyone with photographic evidence of completing ALL of the challenge rooms will get a non-descript prize!

Post Re: Bionic Commando 2009
I have managed to beat most of the challenges, like somewhat a page of those that I haven't finished at all (not including those single ones that you can unlock by finding secret places), but the remaining ones are impossible. :| The game itself wasn't that hard on medium, except the last stage where I recommend getting a few extra lives before heading into, especially the platforming sequence somewhere midstage can be a bitch.

In some of the remaining challenges I don't even have a clue how to pass the first spikes, others require perfect execution of consecutive drops mid-swing and even one is hard to get timed right sometimes etc. Btw, there's even somekinda "super star"-rating after the 5 stars in those challenges, can only imagine my frustration when I thought I achieved something by completing many of the challenges with 5 stars and then managing to beat one with the even better ranking. Reminded me of trackmania and it's author medal -rank after gold. :P

Oh well, atleast once you can't blame a game for being too easy. :)
