I enjoyed Quake 4 but I think I was in the minority. Nothing too taxing on the brain, in fact not much in the way of story at all but looked pretty at the time and shooting aliens never gets old.
Found Bioshock kinda disappointing, I think mainly due to it being hyped as the successor to SS2. Didn't touch that game in terms of atmosphere and the whole Vita-chamber thing was a bit of a joke.
Bioshock, apparently lots of my mates felt it failed to live up to SS2, but those very same people have changed their opinions of it as they played it more and i played it it abit and could see why it was fun to play, i don't see the scare factor of it though.
Quake 4, i found it fun and kept me interested, up until the Hospital stage and onwards, it was pretty disgusting and a bit unnecessary, especially being awake when it happens.
No idea what SS2 is so I enjoy(ed) bioshock, find it pretty atmospheric.
Never played q4
P.S. You can disable vita-chambers Budr.

Re: Quake 4 and BioShock
System Shock 2 Fluffy.
I enjoyed Bioshock, but it was always unfair to compare it with SS2 though, as they always felt very different games to me. SS2 was definitely the scarier game though with all that murmuring in the dark.
