After the sham that was Quake 1, I vowed never to play another game made by ID.
Although I always wonder if I missed out on the good looking Wolfenstein franchise.
Bioshock was one of the best games of 2007, but I feel it’s now been surpassed by action/rpg hybrids that are Deadspace and Fallout 3.
But definitely worth playing if your PC can run it MAXXED out.
My old PC couldn’t run the game on anything other than Medium settings and that was one of the reasons I stopped halfway thru. The game engine was so demanding it never rendered the enemies or environment properly. I never saw the bright colours or special D10 effects (maybe a driver bug?). That and the good, but repetitive gameplay meant I lost interest.
There is also abit of backtracking involved, so pay attention to the ingame map and tips. Otherwise you might get lost and not see where your supposed to go next.
But I do intend to reload Bioshock one day. If only to play it again as a cold hearted baddie

Re: Quake 4 and BioShock
I'll be playing Bioshock when I get back to uni and actually have enough bandwidth to download it. The connection at home's shockingly slow.
Just finished it. I harvested every single one of them little sisters. No mercy. PLaying through it again by rescuing them.
*Spoiler Line* Your Gonna be surprised that you actually only loose 50 adam or so overall by saving them since they decide to give you 200 adam plus ammo plus an exclusive plasmid which you cant buy every 3 lil sisters you save...
