Read "exclusive for windows vista" then stopped reading. Fine if you have it. But really, what a bloody ploy. :|

Well, yeah I know, but its the principle. Halo 2 was vista exclusive, but why? Surely Microsoft arent that stupid to think people would actually go out and get Vista just for Halo?

It looks good. Psychological Action Thriller? Read about the story and game play on Wikipedia, and it looks very interesting. Good thing is has its emphasis on the story and exploration elements, rather than just pure shooting. Also seems to be a bit scary, with enemies only approaching in full darkness - sounds like something that'll scare me off =P

The story reminds me of one of Stephen Kings books, where the writers main character in his book actually comes alive and seek to replace his life.

Vista only... Well, they just want people to stop using their 5 year old software, so they can stop worrying about updating that old system and concentrate on their current. And of course make you purchase something :P That whole XP versus Vista fuzz is nothing new - people had the same argument when XP was about to replace 98, and we will have the same argument when Vista will be replaced by Windows 7.

Bought new computer this summer, so i obviously got Vista, and I've gotten use to it - i feel limited in XP now. But as everything new, i of course had to adjust - that's about it.

Post Re: Alan Wake
yeh it was the same deal with 3.1 --> '98 and '98 --> XP.. usually a performance drop on games designed for the previous OS- i remember saying id never use XP lol and although I own it I'm still one of Vista's biggest critics (forking out another £80 for 32bit version on monday - not happy with 64 at all) The only thing I absolutely need Vista to run is Geomatry Wars lol... and im guessing someone's patched that up for XP.

As for Alan Wake- depends when its released i guess... At some point they're gonna have to start releasing some DX10 specific titles (at least I bloody hope they do) and who knows this could be the first... just a thought. Though if its out next year and cross platform I guess it will be running on 9c.
