Post Samsung 226BW
I really cannot recommend this monitor enough. After holding out for an LCD for a long time, I finally plumped for the Samsung SyncMaster 226BW 22". At last a monitor with the responsiveness and clarity of a CRT monitor and at an affordable price. 2ms grey to grey and a 3000:1 contrast ratio gives superb natural colours and deep rich blacks. Sorry if this sounds like an advert but I just wanted to share it with you  Source games look fantastic, especially TF2 with the FOV set to max.

Samsung make the best screens imho. Shame about their dvd players (but thats another thread)

When i have enough cash for a new rig, i was thinking of getting 2 of the slightly smaller 20 inch ones.

I already have a Dell 20 inch widescreen, tis ok, but get a lot of backlight issues. I wouldnt buy another dell, only reason i got this one was because it was the cheapest one out there at the time at that size.

Post Re: Samsung 226BW
I know this thread is a bit old now, but I thought i would throw my hat in...

I have a Samsung 206bw which is the smaller 20.1" version (yet much more powerful and manly, lol)

I have to agree with the op that they are a great monitor. I opted for the 20" due to price and the fact that they both share the same resolution so technically the 20" should offer a sharper image - whether that would be detectable i dont know. I have to say for viewing screen size though the 22" screen will be impressive.

Everyone should get one as TF2 does look awesome - let the pwnage unfold in glorious technicolour!!

As for pwnage, the screen for me is totally useless. Gotta love that 22" widescreen 90degree awesomeness tho.

Been lurking a bit but after reading this thread I just had to post!

I recently bought a 226bw and it is beautiful! When I told my missus I had spent £200 on a monitor I thought I was a walking corpse but when she saw it she fell in love. An excellent piece of kit!
