damn I was late on this one (shock)...

Big respect for the monkey island tune... That opening reggaesque hook just evokes the Caribbean islands pefectly- speaking as a man who has never been remotely close to them .

Just one of those tunes you can just imagine and it makes you smile.

Loads of good ones in there... difficult to recall with my memory atm... I love the Live! videogame concerts- genius and so nostalgic!

As of now have been very impressed with sound engineering when playing Devil May Cry 4.
It may have something to do with digging out the trusty old 5.1 Creative inspire setup and the free X-fi soundcard bundle. Still, it sounds really nice up against other games. Capcom have come along way since Qsound!


On the flip side of game music- has anyone ever actually tried completing Rainbow Islands? As cutesy as the music is by the 4th stage it has burrowed into your mind, permenantly seared in some infernal loop! You wake up humming it in the night.
Great game though.

Are there any other games like this where the music has driven people quite literally close to madness?

this music drove me freakin nuts theres no way to turn it off on the 360....until I found out that if i just play some mp3 then it cuts out the in-game music but that wasnt until the damage was done
