D-gen on the old 386.

Was one horror hard game. Only ever managed to get to the final floor the one time after a good long time of trying to play it.

Tetris on the GB, after that watching my dad play DOOM... I learned all about shooters from watching him kill demons...

Donkey Kong Country on the SNES for me.

Jumping on crocodiles.

Chasing those elusive red balloons, and the more elusive green ones.

Being blasted around the place in barrels.

HL2 dosn't compare to that.

I simply loved the music, DKC was a great game, and the graphics were amazing at that time!

apart from mario on the NES

my 1st proper PC game was heretic.

ooh the good old days.

super mario bros 3 on the nes. then some other nes games i can't remember very well but DKC i can remember like the back of my hand. played that game to death. my parents must have hated me when i was 8.

also damn near cried when our nes broke :'(

Another classic came back to me: Cannon Fodder.

How often did you find that you got one of the guys to a certain rank and then would reload the game from the last save point if he died?

This was my first ever PC 'game' I guess, first played it when I was 6. The undisputed game of the decade I might add

First real PC game was Quake II which my friend burned to a disc or had copied (not sure which).

But I used to mainly used my Playstation 1 ( ) which I fell in love with after watching my cousin play Tomb Raider and Twisted Metal in the States.
