Re: COD 4
I got Cod 4 for Christmas and I loved the single player. I thought there was quite a lot of variety in it and especially enjoyed the sniper mission. The only drawback is it isn't long enough.
I must admit I didn't play the multiplayer that long but it seems too similar to battlefield 2 and bf2142 which I played for quite a while and now I'm tired of. I'll try it again some other time.

Re: COD 4
I second that Colonel.. i completed it in little over 2 days and was playing a bunch of other games too. Was ok but really just more of the same CoD stuff for me. As for Multiplayer I've not tried it yet. Can u guys reccomend a server and any tips as I've not played alot of CoD online before (though ALOT of MoHAA).. maybe u can hook me up and give me a hand?

Re: COD 4
I have not bothered with the single player and got stuck straight into the multiplayer. I am enjoying ranking up and the map modes are great having not played a COD game before. No vehicles is a disappointment but they were often irritating in BF2.
The weapons are good and the graphics are nice.
However I do not think the multiplayer will hold me for long. Its just too easy to rack up kill streaks and melee kills are far too easy! Countless team-deathmatch games I have knifed my way through the opposition. Could just be the server I pick, full of idiots ^^
I tried it this week on some cracked servers and it seemed good fun but as Grief said I don't think it will hold my interest too long. Quakewars seems like a better supplement to TF2 for me.

Re: COD 4
Single player is awesome but take your time it's over far too quickly. I've been lvl 55 on multiplayer for a while now and i think 2 statements sum it up quite nicely: 1. Camping **** heads. 2. Spawn raping **** heads.
I have had more "Rage" quits in this game than any other i can remember. Anymore than 6 people per side and i change server, it just becomes a spam fest.
My clan is about to join a search and destroy 5 vs 5 league on clan base so i might haver to give up some tf2 time

Re: COD 4
Im having problems getting punkbuster to work and stay on for CoD4... anyone else had simliar problems? Really annoying as I've had not chance to play it online yet and people say it's great. Have installed the program and turned on in game but I keep getting kicked out for not having it on... odd. Do i need to set up any kind of port-forwarding?

Re: COD 4
yeah i needed that service crap... Game is good but a teeny bit laggy for me... not sure if its my connection or dreaded bloody Vista64...
Like the whole level up thing but kinda crazy for new players... Anyone up on their CoD4 tweaks to get it running sweet? Enjoying it, but wont take the place of TF2 for me
