Well if the advertisers are forced to create their ads in the style of the game world, then it would be bearable. At least we're educated from child to ignore all forms of advertisement. However, because of this, advertisers could be tempted to make advertisement that are hard to ignore. Hope there's no big flashy red banners, demanding attention.

Me too. In BF2142 the ads took the form of billboards usually in urban areas or on a highway. The worry is that, because of the cartoon style of BF Heroes, the ads will more likely be bright and garish. But then I guess they wouldn't blend to the gameworld in if they weren't and so bright as they might be, they will still probably go un-noticed.

Im sure there'll be some kinda patch or hack to get rid of those pesky banners and replace them with stuff of our choice- didnt they manage that with BF2142?

Will have to watch this one closely. Don't know about the graphical style from that concept art- going from that it looks a little more angular and I guess will have to be a little simpler than TF2 due to the size of battlefeild maps and the number of players.

Could be awesome.. but they've obviously seen the popularity of TF2 spiral and jumped on the bandwagon- 'we make cartoony gfx, we get money too...' (in the heavy's voice).
Could be great, especially with the WW2 era in that style and Soldier-esque characters. But cartoon gfx alone do not maketh a great game- TF2 succeeds cos of the balance and the core game. If they put in the usual BF quality then they might have a hit on their hands. Wonder what Valve have to say about it?
