Yes the always so fun way to make game characters and weapons to look more fun and exciting. Sometimes the ones you like makes playing harder. Especially in multiplayer.
If the skin looks even a little like the enemy you could easily missidentify it as a friendly player and then youre dead.
I have some skins myself, but they change the original model and colouring just a little so I won't be disturbed by them.
In Cs:s I had skins for almost every gun and character there is. In TF2 I have skins just for the Spy, the pyro and for the Soldier.

How about you? :|

I made a retexture for the blu scout, which I've thought about releasing. But I could probaby do a bit more on it. And I have one for the Pyro, but I'm a bit stuck with that atm.

Skin wise, I havent seen much that takes my fancy. I like skins that are radical overhauls (new models, new animations for weapons), rather than just texture variations. Problem is you don't get many like that for anything other than CS:S.

My preferred customising comes in the form of audio. Looks are one thing, but the sound is what makes games immersive. Personally I think some of the TF2 sounds are a bit weedy (the minigun is a beast cannon, but doesnt sound like it), so I have tried, and to an extent succeeded in making new weapon audio effects based on TFC's. Most of them however didnt work all that well, but I'm sure with more investigation, I could figure it out.

I agree with you. The minigun sound is kinda rubbish. I also like to customize the sounds.
I got a Goldeneye freeze cam replacement from FPS banana so everytime I die a short clip is played. Very nice actually. Also got some other things replaced, but I can't remember.

Note: My avatar is a Spy with no mask close up. If you havent noticed.

I posted the skins I am using, plus links, in the "TF2 Custom Maps and Skins" part of the forum. See here: ;)

I just use the bloody bonesaw one myslef, considered the nuclear needles one but decided becasue of the green colour of the needles that i best not as i may get an unfair advantage some how with them being easy to see, and i only really use the bonesaw to defend myself so i saw no point aswell

Dude... that's pretty, um.. sad.

Mind you I'm a live roleplayer, so I've either got no room to talk, or I'm well qualified, depending on your pov.

So.. er.. did you find one? ;)
