I know what you mean but can't seem to find anything wrong with it. only catch was they made me take out their insurance, when i say made i mean they "forgot" to mention it was part of the deal and charged my card wiith it before i realised. but hell i would have had the insurance anyway i always do. 18 month contract is a bugger too but hey PS3 for nothing. |

I second Gimpster on that (think mario galaxy is burned into my mind atm- can reccomend if u dont have it gimp- starts slow but soon has you dodging ghosts and jumping cannonballs like mario should!- got mine pre-pwned too, £25 bucks, cant argue) but personally if you've not got a Wii and a PC that plays games to the standard of a 360 or PS3 Take your £250 (or whatever) Buy an 8800GT for £140 Buy some kickass memory for about £80+ any new fans or a new case if you need it, then go buy a game and go home with change jangling in your pocket I know, i know.... im such a PC-boy.... but i never can be assed with the high end consoles- Games are too expensive and hyped, gamepads are only good for some games and next year you'll only want the next new big thing- shame you cant upgrade consoles. But you can juice up ya PC. Or follow my tactics and get an old Dreamcast <insert fav old console> from gamestation or wherever and have a ton of fun.... still chuffed I got it for £15.... 9 new characters on marvel v capcom 2 now... gooo Dan gooo |

Well i bought myself a Xbox 360 last summer. Been having fun on it The talk about which console is the best according to hardware specifications is bullshit. They're both able to play high definition games. (If you really want to be technical about it, then Xbox 360 has the most calculation power and is able to transfer data from disc to memory faster, leading to lower load times - but Playstation 3 has blueray and can therefore contain ten times the data of Xbox 360's discs on the discs. And yeah i know Playstation 3 has eight cores and all that, but no games can benefit from it yet - the developers are unable to create engines for that amount of cores as of yet. Also, those cores perform floating point calculations as their strong side, which isn't really used much in game applications, unless there's physics calculations - which the graphic card can do easily) On the 360 i got myself Gears of War and Mass Effect, which is very nice. Can't wait for the next two Mass Effect games, that's for sure. I'd say buy it based on the games, or if you wanna see blueray. (If you want blueray, go Playstation 3) If you buy Xbox 360 and later discover you want bluray, you're going to have to buy a blue ray player for it. (It's not out yet, but will be soon) Now that i own a Xbox 360, I'm gonna stick to it, and if i get a HD TV sometime, I'm just gonna buy me a blueray player for it. Certainly wouldn't be worth it for me to buy a Playstation 3 now hehe. And personally, i think the controllers for the Xbox 360 is much nicer than than the Playstation 3 ones - they just seem to be sculpted perfectly for your hands, while Playstation 3 is nostalgic and features the same design as their two former generations. (My hands are too big for them, it's uncomfortable) As you can see above, the difference is simply between the arrow and thumb controller, and the button on the back - the back buttons on the 360 is ALOT more sensitive. (Trust me - try guitar heroes on a PS3 controller...) Else they feature mostly the same i guess. The one thing you'd want with any of these two is a HD television. Sadly i don't have one But seeing it in 1080i is just bloody awesome... 1920x1080 pixels of glory! EDIT: Oh yeah, one last thing! The Xbox 360 is noisy as hell!... It's quite annoying really. Playstation 3 is perfectly silent... |

Well does the Xbox controller have a motion sensor? PS3 does. |
