Post Sonic Generations

http://www.sega.com/games/sonic-generations

The game looks amazing (check out system specs below) and it's enormously fun. Game of the year for me.

Pretty conclusive RPS "review": http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/11 ... nerations/
Kotaku review: http://kotaku.com/5857024/sonic-generat ... aku-review

Cheapest I found the game anywhere was on Greenmangaming for £16.79 (you get a steam-key upon purchase, don't have to use their client). It's well worth that if you love Sonic (the amount of content is...gigantic, by todays standards). Even if you don't, you probably will after playing this.

System specs:
Quote:
Minimum:
OS: Microsoft Windows 7/Vista/XP
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200 (2x2.0GHz) or AMD equivalent
Memory: 2GB RAM (XP)/3GB RAM (Windows 7 / Vista)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 (512MB) / ATI Radeon HD 2900 (512MB)
DirectX®:
Hard Drive: 11 GB free hard drive space

Recommended:
OS: Microsoft Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.66 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.0 GHz
Memory: 3GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (1GB) / ATI Radeon HD 5850 (1GB)
DirectX®:
Hard Drive: 11 GB free hard drive space

Just wanted to give a heads up that someone released an actually truly good game this year.

I agree that it's a great game, as a huge fan of the original Sonic trilogy I love the classic Sonic levels & music, it seemed a little short when playing it, but 18 stages compares to the old games and they fluffed up the content with challenges to collect extra artwork/music, but most aren't very challenging or satisfying unfortunately, I'd imagine that's why the launch price was only around £20. Worth it though imo.

I fell sorry for people that grew up with a Sega instead of a proper console like a SNES.

Having a SNES as a kid makes you old?

I dunno. I only played on a PC and a Gameboy.

I lived my childhood in Saudi-Arabia though. :D

Nah if it used a tape deck to load the games over many minutes and made a sound like a possessed cat being microwaved, you are old. :D
