How big is the dowload for this chaps? I'm painfully tempted to buy it through the method that Frog suggested earlier, but my download speed is beyond shocking (220kbs on average).
7g+ but on a downloader so you can pause and resume when you want

I'm definitely up for grouping together with some people and having a laugh.
I have a load of gear atm and will have a lot of space once I've off-loaded some stuff to Swampthing, including a camping tent which will be very useful if we do.
The map Fr3ddi3 posted is incredibly useful for starting out and finding good loot points. One of the first things I do on a new character is go to the 4 Medium-Yield Apartments and Hospital just off the main Orange Road on the North Western side (easy to spot when you look for the $ signs), usually finding weapons, food and drink, as well as the medical supplies in the Hospital. The Church near the coast directly South East of the Apartments is relatively easy to get to early on, also containing good loot.
Just outside Chernogorsk atm, haven't even thought about heading north yet

Another good map resource, they are now slowly adding more features too like weapon details etc.

Betrayal!
I was making my way along the coast at night, when I saw a survivor being chased by a mob of zombies. I told him over mic to get in the barn and I would pick them off. I gave him my pistol, and we traveled for a while. He gets himself spotted and mauled by a fresh mob of zombies, and I bandage his wounds and am midway through giving him a blood transfusion when he shoots me dead.
I hereby declare war on the scourge that is humanity. I also declare double war on Germans who speak a bit of French. I'll keep you all updated on how the war is going.
I actually really enjoy this game, it's brutally unforgiving and very rewarding.

Just to warn people if they find a new bag to take, then be very careful in swapping them over.
The way to do it without losing anything is to take the new one from the floor with the mouse wheel options, swapping it with the full one, then open the old one on the floor with the mouse wheel options, then with the gear screen up, open the new bag in your inventory and swap the items across.
I managed to lose my original backpack with food and drink in it because I didn't do it this way

I just found a ghillie suit in a doorway on the outskirts of Chernogorsk. When I went to put it on I disappeared and re-appeared under the sea for a second.... Then back to where I was and I'd lost all my stuff including my weapons, all of it apart from my backpack.
