Post Steam Autumn Sale thread
Sale lasting until the 26th. post your recommendations and what not for all to see and possibly shoot you down.

Right now There's only 2 games i recommend:

CiV5 Gods and Kings is a fantastic expansion pack for a tenner but a little unstable so just be aware. Adds some much needed AI tweaks and changes the game considerably.

The Walking Dead, it's easily my game of the year. No game i have ever played has ever left the same impression on me, it truly is a wonderful game and i cannot speak highly enough of it. It's not strictly a game you're buying into, but more of an interactive TV series where you get to choose the outcome of certain things. It will leave you feeling horrible by the end, unless you have no soul.

Forgot, Max Payne 3 for under tenner is a steal, is a very cool story and a fun game to play even though the cut scenes do intrude a little bit.

I finally got around to buying that. Don't see a reason not to for that price. Looking forward to trying it :)

DISHONORED!

OK, this is now at a rather early and surprising big discount. You need to go and buy this now. Do not post here, just go and buy it NOW!

Still here? I said go NOW!

Anyway, for those still here, I assume you have already bought it, if you haven't I said go and buy it NOW!

Now...

Yes, seems good, but blimey you are telling me about the cut scenes. I thought the game would never start, and I also thought I was tripping on the mad effects on the cut scenes. The game does seem good though when it finally arrives.

Anyway I am now off to buy Batman: Arkham City, and you?

You are off to buy this of course: http://store.steampowered.com/app/205100/

Now run along...

Couldn't agree more, dishonored is a fantastic game. It could have been better i must admit. But it's a solid 8 (maybe 9) out of 10.

I just looked, £15 quid. Buy it now you won't regret it.

Still not owning this game by now? Shame on you!

Touche!

It's actually quite surprising to see 50% off Dishonored, which has been out for only around a month. And yeah, the game itself is great, definitely worth the money.

Got to agree. Sadly I can only assume that its because of poor sales, which for me is a travesty for such an inventive and quality game. I have to fear that because the game doesn't have multi-player this great game is sitting on a lot of peoples hard drives who haven't paid for it.

This is not only doing a disservice to those that created it, but also in the long term not going to help get these games on to "our" platform. Sure they will still exist on consoles because it has had great sales figures on these, but if we don't buy it wheres the incentive to continue to do the PC version?

*climbs off soapbox*

Yeah, probably either me being grumpy or disappointed. Just looked at Steam and 47 of my friends own Skyrim, but only 8 Dishonored. I know it hasn't been out long, and is not part of a massive ongoing series, but I feel is deserves better...

... and you still have fifteen minutes left for the 50% discount! ;)
