Dissapointed with Half Life Source? I know I was. I expected a remake of Half Life that didn't just use the Source Engine, but also updated the graphics to HL2 standards. Well the community is coming to the rescue with Black Mesa Source. A complete remake of Half Life using the Source Engine AND HL2 graphics and character assets. It looks like they are remaining true to the original and will not be talikng liberties with the gameplay or storyline.

Looks really nice. Definitely something I'd play as the HL storylines have been pretty damn superb to date. It'll be nice to go back and play through the first one with the shiny shiny graphics. Unless I've misunderstood :)

Heheh don't worry, you haven't. It's Half Life 1 with bells on. ;)

I've been following this mod for some time now. The pictures shown in the media section of the site are definetely of very high quality and Half-Life is arguably the greatest FPS-experience there is. So I'm really looking forward to playing it on the Source engine and engine the brilliant gameplay along with the updated graphics.
