Really impressed with this so far, my only real gripe weapon wise is with the crow bar. action (Though I do like its one hit for headcrabs now with it) but its just really annoying to aim with I find, and the animation for it is retarded. The whole marine's being hard as nails is pretty consistent to HL1 I do think they could have made the vort's a lil bit harder though. And what is it with getting the magnum at the bit where you get the shotty and getting the shotty miles into the game.? I thought the metal gear re-vamp - grey fox style assasins were pretty cool and equally as annoying as the originals too. They received Xbow justice. Oh and the 50 cal gibbing made me lol. Looking forward to seeing the guass too |

I think it's to deal with the Marines. They go down pretty easily with a well placed headshot. Plus this isn't "Half-life HD" It's more of a revamped remake than a HD conversion. |

yeah but more or less is the same sequence of scenes. double barrell shotty is quite effective. Lure and shoot, you get nades and traps too. More than enough to deal with the marines for me! - not that arsed about it just thought was a little weird. The game could prob do with a bit more loot from the boxes too I think, feels like thoroughly checking all boxes used to pay off way more but might just be my perception |

The only thing I'd suggest them tweaking is the charge time for the Houndeye and Vortigaunt attacks being a bit longer. Used to be that you could get out of the way before it happens and then jump out to attack. That said, I do love the new fx for the Houndeye's attack. |

That fight at the end of Questionable Ethics took me a fair while. As did one a bit later with the Osprey. The second time you meet the Assassins was quite challenging too but was a lot of fun. I think they did a really great job on them. I loved the sounds for the Tau Cannon. I got such a hardon everytime I charged that thing up. Oh, and I spent ages firing the laser in Questionable Ethics. That thing was badass. But yah, now I am finished I can't wait to see how they handle Xen. How many years will I have to wait? |

Next part? They're mostly just working on Xen now since that section is the most hated from the original. They basically want to work really hard on it and I'm guessing they thought it wasn't good enough when they were ready to release. The actual game is pretty much all done save for that last section. |

Any ideas on getting through the huge laser room? It appears to be tougher than I remember with more lasers near enough everywhere. I often end up stumbling into one, not realizing it was there. I'm where the music starts (at the start basically) |
