No.

I mean that large room where soldiers have rigged up all those tripwire bombs.
The bit before you get the hivehand weapon.

There seem to be more lasers than the original (then again, there's a lot more stuff around and the route is possibly changed)

Ah right, i can't remember the exact route you gotta take. But i remember using F5 religiously at that part, every single mine i cleared got a new save , took me a few tries but i got there in the end. I'm also pretty sure there is a few routes you can take to get through it.

I know the room you mean. It's in Surface Tension flash, a warehouse storeroom full of laser trip mines that if you trip one, it's bye bye time.

I found it easier than in the original.

I guess because I remember the old route so well and can get through it really easily.

Plus the old version didn't have the extra mines at the start where you had to pick up the barrels that were behind them and carefully lift them over and place down so you had somewhere to jump over.
