I have recently found something called The Oculus Rift...
The Oculus Rift is a next-generation virtual reality headset designed for immersive gaming taken from the website posted below. Its basically glasses but completely sealed off to the outside world totally immersing you into the game, where you look with the oculus rift over your eyes the game looks, something jump in your face it will literally be in your face and not the cheapy 3D glasses kind either. It has proven to work with some Source games including TF2 and half life 2 (One Thought: Ravenholm) and pewdiepie has posted a video of him with one playing AaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa where you basically dive down at incredible speeds will post both links for the oculus rift and the pewdie video (Not a fan of the pewd but he's the only one iv seen gameplay with worth watch) but the oculus rift can be yours for £125 ($300) i defernatly think its worth the money i will be getting one myself when i get my monies sorted.

Wow that's erm something right there, jees them ancient games and to think they was the best back in the day, people saying there graphics are amazing know look what we have, TF2, Battlefield 4 its insane how far games have come.

Some of the reactions to the rollercoaster demo are quite funny for the oculus rift. That alone shows that the head tracking must add a tremendous amount to the experience compared to bog standard shutter 3D looking at a flat plane of a monitor.



A lot of us here are "ancient" gamers.

I used to play chequered flag too, was one of the games that came with the Spectrum 48k. Was quite a feat of programming for the time.

Can't think what the oldest game iv played, crash badicoot 1 comes to mind and that's really not that old but i probably have played more ancient games, come to think of it i have played paper boy, smash tv and a few other oldies not as old as the one above thou. I am only 21 thou haha.
