Post Greetings
Hi everyone. I think I've got a lot to learn ;) Not having played any game quite like this in the past :)

I thought I'd give it a go, and if I was to play on HH servers, seemed only polite to come along, join up and shake a few hands ;)

For someone totally new to this game, are there any tips you can give (like should I practise on a specific or other server rather than just die horribly at first from the beginning in company :P ), or is it best to just dive in and join the fighting :)

Get stuck in mate, give everything a try and ask questions. I reckon most of the players on H|H you will find more than helpful to give advice. check out the tips and tricks in the forum too. Best advice i can give is: get a mike and don't be shy to say hello.

So what have you got on your farm then?

definitly dive right in.

only thing i will say is if you're gonna try spy or engineer make sure you get a good flavour of the other classes first (so you can pretend to be one) and watch how other engineers place their stuff.

best starting classes are soldier, scout, medic. as you can follow people round and see the map layout easily.

Cows are awesome

Just play, find the class you like etc. I started with trying to get the head of class and the world traveller achievements, so you get a nice insight on how to play the classes and the maps... The tuning can come afterwards, find your predilection class first ;)

I tried scout first of all ... but got a bit stuck as I wasn't sure what i should be doing that first night :P

Since then I've been Soldiering, and slowly getting more used to what I should be doing ;) LOL

Thanks for the advice, I might give medic a go soon :D

A good idea might be to follow one of the HH or regs around as the same class as them and just do as they do, everyone likes a bit of back up and you will be learning "by doing" rather than watching wich is surely the best thing.
