Thought that I'd finally pop in and say hi to everyone, Gimpsters incessant poking helped somewhat

I'm a 27 year old student (I think the offical term is "mature" though I fail to see the connection) doing some mishmash of graphic/web/3d design/animation degree in Southampton. I used to live in and near a town known as "boring joke" to its inhabitants though I prefer the name "Basing-grad" so I'm definately Hampshire based.

Gaming history : wolf3d, Doom etc. ( DCK was my editor of choice btw ) I used to co-run a CS:S clan called [cH4v] (it was named for very ironic purposes) which while relatively short lived and not of any great competitive success, was definately regarded as a fun and enjoyable clan and server for all. Sadly due to a number of issues *cough* WoW *cough* thats been defunct for a few years now.

Got fed up with CS, moved onto Dod:S and dystopia mod then TF2 came out and thats been it really.

Decided to check out the server one day for its name and quite like the vibe that it seemed to have going on, moved in and the rest is history. You guys definately seem to have something very good going on, and the more I read the better it seems to be ( Grinderman. Lol. Its either Brilliant Genius or Terrible genius, but definately some genius in there )

Anyway see you all server side *lights match* Muhahahaah etc.

TaT welcome m8. Good to have you on here at last. As for WoW, it's been the bane of many a clan so no surprise there. Grinderman tho, thats a different story. I barely survived thier Forum gig. 45 year old blokes and mosh pits should be kept well away from each other.

Absolutely. One of the most addictively competetive games I have ever played. When you start, you have to choose a "realm" or server (approx 12.000 players) and have an allegence to either the Horde or Alliance factions. To say that there is REAL hatred between the two would be an understatement. The world itself is super massive and seamless with no loading screens apart from when you enter a dungeon (instance) with a party or raid group in order to kill the boss(es) deep within and gain some uber loot. So you can meet any player, anywhere within the game-world. Unlike in Guild Wars (WoW's nearest rival) where you only meet other players in towns, cities or player Vs player battlegrounds. There is so much more I could tell you but we'll save it for a chat window eh? heheh.
