Re: Whoohoo. New pc on the way.....
You will see no benefit in FPS over 60, in fact you will see tearing if Vsync is off.

Indeed sam... and if you do put on Vsync try putting on tripple buffering too- this will optimise it, sometimes.
My CFX settings may perhaps make me get pwned more but: I like HDR range lighting. I've got used to it in games now and think it adds a nice effect to bright skies and light sources. Motion blur is quite subtle and well used in TF2 and if your running good framerates I couldnt see it making a huge difference to accuracy. The Anti-Aliasing and tex filtration is down to what your pc is handling atm and your choice I guess. Have a fiddle with the options here cos some cards will really eat into your performance will too much AA.
But running at 1680x1250 at 100FPS? man you should be able to have everything maxed!
(says the guy with SLi8880gtx's and an old 1280x1024 CRT! )
I'm still crying tears into my rig. I mean yes it runs all that I play at it but ive had the odd slowdown problems and bits and bobs that are just niggling at me cos at the time I bought it to be the dopest PC around.
I've actually found Mass effect works better with one 8800GTX turned off so I'm thinking of taking one of the monsters out and seeing if it's just been drawing too much power.
Yeah no benefit over 60 fps jsut bragging rights But yours should pal way bette i think, i ahve all highs texture shader shadows wise and that sort of stuff HDR full trillinear vsynch is on i think aswell. no AA or AF

After watching it for a while, my FPS can drop down to ~40 when there's lots going on. Strange that I'm getting so much less than others with similar systems..
Is it possible that I'm taking a hit on FPS because I'm using onboard sound rather than a dedicated sound card?
