I have the G502, and I think it is an excellent mouse, and so far I have had no issues with it.

What do you need a gaming mouse for? Donkey kong?

It's arrived, just trying to figure out the best settings.

Abandoned my cloth mousepad as the bottom of it was all ruffled and got in the way of my wrist.

Do I need to use this? http://www.esreality.com/post/1846538/m ... ation-fix/

The mouse has a 'breathe' button that gives lower DPI while I hold it - is this actually useful for sniping?

I'm using a 1080p screen, Windows sens is on 6, DPI is 1200, TF2 sens I'm still figuring out

No you shouldn't need those fixes unless playing the old games mentioned.

Adjustable DPI for sniping is a load of marketing shit. To get good you need to build up a muscle memory of how much movement is required to get to a certain point on screen. Wildly changing the DPI constantly means you will never get used to any one setting.

TF2 already has a console command for changing the mouse speed for zoom ratio, cannot remember the console command but that is what I would use for "sniping".

I currently use a 1680x1050 monitor. 1600dpi on the mouse and 1.8 sens in game I think.
