Hey guys, wondering if there's a solution to this...

At the moment i'm running TF2 etc from my laptop as there's something wrong with my main rig...I think it's the graphics card...but anyway, that's beside the point...

I've got a second monitor hooked up to my laptop, a nice 19" lcd, but games like CS etc always start in the laptop screen....is there any way to get it to hook onto the other monitor instead? I can't make the other monitor the primary because it's a laptop...any ideas?

Right the monitor acts as an INPUT device like a keyboard / mouse not an OUTPUT device.
Because it sets as an input like mine ( :( ) you'll have to google/go pc store/wait and see if people know how to change this.

yeah you can, you need to go to the display settings, click on the second monitor, and there should be a tick box called use this device as my primary monitor.

just seen you say you cant set as primary cos its a laptop. have another look, cos i can do it on my laptop.

Does the laptop not have a FN key to flip flop between displays.

ie FN KEY AND F5

Proberbly really depends on the make/laptop itself.
