clearing the cmos should hopefully let you boot up again.
Have you tried getting help on one of the techy forums?
I know a few ppl that got a lot of help form tomshardware.com

reseting the cmos was one of the first things i did.
havent tried toms hardware yet.
Also, i just tried a mates CPU in my system and it still didnt work, and my CPU worked in his system, so its not the CPU. So im about to try swtiching the PSU and if that doesnt work i expect its the motherboard
Update: Tried a different PSU and still had the same problem, i guess its the mobo

So it wasnt the motherboard, bought a brand new one and had the same problem. I've since installed XP to a new hdd and it seems to be working for now. Will run some test on the old hdd, guess i should have done that in the first place, even though the hdd is only about 2 months old.
