I just changed my isp to virgin cable (10 mb) and for some reason i cant use the community or store tab in the steam browser, but more annoying is that when im in the game and i try to join a map i dont have it downloads the sounds, objects, everything, then right at the end it say "error map missing". whf?
this means i now have to search on the net for any map i want to play, looooong. any help would be appreciated

I have virgin too (I HATE YOU VIRGIN!) so I don't think it's that which is causing you problems.

You can try typing cl_allowdownload 1 into the console before connecting?

Otherwise I don't have a clue. You could always download the maps manually from fpsbanana or something....

Or download the fancy map pack jase made here all at once

Tho I think some new maps where added (update time ?)

the hh map pack doesn't have all the hh maps though , ill try that fpsbanana though bolt

that map pack is out of date now.

you can download maps individually from the HH map server at http://thehh.co.uk/maps

they are compressed with bzip2, so be sure to unpack them before putting them in your maps folder.

not sure why the maps aren't downloading for you in the first place. its definitely working for everyone else. does the motd display ok for you?

Sounds like a local networking problem of some kind.

Have you power cycled your modem/router/pc?

ah, powercycle = turning the fucker off i get ya, yeh iv done that but to no avail, steam browser comm + store still offline
