So after uninstalling the nvidia physx drivers (ya I had it coming) and the mobo drivers I removed everything nvidia via driver cleaner pro, installed the stable, recommended nvidia display and mobo drivers, now I'm getting BSOD's while simply browsing the web (just watched something on youtube->BSOD), TF2 is acting up etc- according to the BSOD its the display driver; any ideas other than reinstalling the drivers again? Dont see how simply reinstalling them would make a difference so I hope someone's got a plan...

Does it give you an error name? (ie: IRQL_NOT_EQUAL or some such)
Do you have a particular file it errors on at the bottom of the BSOD?
I would avoid sys restore if possible. My preference would be to install again over the top of your current windows.
Anyway, hopefully with a few more details we can sort it out without needing to go that far.
Uh dont remember right now, gonna check next time I get a BSOD- just remember that the error was related to nv4_disp.dll which oughta be the nvidia display driver afaik.
Definitely won't re-install windoze since I did that 2 days ago.

Thanks for the help so far.
If its related to nv4 thats definately the nvidia driver, uninstall the nvid driver and reinstall completely a new one (and by uninstall i mean EVERYTHING, purge the system of nvidia, which you should do anyways, but since you have their card you might as well reinstall it, unless you have the cash floating around for one of These babies

Re: BSOD
I may be getting a pair of those monsters. Going to hold off a month or so and see if they drop at all in price.

Well like I said in the OP, I just did exactly that before the BSODs started comin. Also, I sure as heck won't be getting an ATI card (again), especially not that one with a 3GHz dualcore processor
Didnt get any more BSODs yesterday, guess I'm good for now.
