From the reviews the guys are recommending a 1000w PSU. One says no lower than 650w.
The higher the better if you're going to run that monster, if only to avoid putting strain on your PSU by drawing current close to what it's rated at. It's always good to have headroom.

Pretty sure it aint 1000W (maybe for 2 of them in cf?) if its 650w then im right on the money with the new one
On Page 13 it says you need 600w or more for a 2 card setup (which is about right for the x2) with four 2x3 PCIe power connectors. 'Cos the X2 is a single card though, I'm not sure how many PCIe power connections it has. I've looked on both the overclockers and HIS website and can't see a reference to that.

Excellent that manual had a linky on it to a psu list which i found a nice psu that should work for about £60 ex vat or £40 if this other one comes back into stock
GET the corsair one, its the one pilsy always recommends to me when im on about stuff, 650 will run a X2 aswell most liekly since the full load from a 4870 with qx*** cpu was only 375 or something so 650 should run one of them which is basicly 2 of them welded together. The thing to watch is that the 4870X2 runs of both a 6pin pcie and a 8pin pcie cable and i dont know whether the corsair one has them, ask pils but if they do id get the corsair since its the only thing in pilsys pc that hasnt borken due to his mad overclocking

Re: Compatable?
The TX650 has 2 6/8pin pci leads so itll run the X2 no problem.
Mine coped fine with a c2d @ 4.5ghz, 5 sata HDDs and my 7900GTX without even spinning the fans up from idle.
Either of the corsair TX series supplys or preyy much anything from pc power and cooling would do.
You can occasionally get a good deal on silverstone olympia poswer supplys from scan.co.uk on today only.
Basically you want anything with a single rail, avoid dual or quad rails as you have to mess about balancing your leads out between 12v1 and 12v2.
