My Headset is Broken
It won't transmit any sound on anything not tf2, ts2, steam or xfire.
I can still hear things through it though but i ahve no diea what it is, any ideas anyone?
p.s. Yes it is plugged in, no it isn't on mute, i have also tried the slots at back of comp, changing settings and detection level all to no avail

If you've checked all your settings etc and plugging it out and in fixed it before(?), I reckon its a physical problem. Best bet would be to try another mic out, see if that works.

Well, short of sending round my personal horde of magical Machine Elves to sort out your problem, all I can do is offer my opinion on what the problem could be and a means of testing it out.
This will sound sill, but do you have anything else you can try the headset on?
Some mp3 players have mic jacks...
Also, try running sound recorder and play about with the settings using control panel/sounds and audio devices, I've had kit work, but not work in game due to setup issues.

Re: My Headset is Broken
You can actually use headphones as a recording device.. plug the headphone speaker lead into the mic jack.. fire up sound recorder and start recording whilst talking into an ear piece (try both, only one will work).
