Erm all boards have PCI slots not PCIEx16 slots which are used for modern graphics cards which replaced AGPx8 iirc

Well, I scanned my computer with CPU-Z and here are a load of screenshots of the different tabs:

Having had the same card as you, I have one question. What wattage is your PSU?

Post Re: Left 4 Dead Demo on my computer
Okay, I've decided to go with prebuilt computers. I have a choice of two websites. Firstly, a list from PC World:
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/ ... #ACER:(any):(any):(any):(any):(any):(any):300:600:PageNo_0:SortOrder_DOWN

And second, a random website I found on Google:
http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/index.php ... =gaming600

I've been told the specs in the second link are really good, but my parents are looking at the ones on PC World, because they're cheaper. I've also been told that the computers on PC World are not worth the price. Opinions?

Right that 2nd link looks quite good for the price definatly better than anything you will get on pc world at any rate although Amd's phenom quad cores arent that good for gaming or anything else as far as im aware so a intel dual core of similar price will probaly beat it, other than that the 2nd link one looks tasty

I was talking to Sam earlier about it, and he said that it's not good that they don't specify the make or model of any of the parts. Does the make and model matter?

Not really, I was just trying to get you to build your own so I could have lols :D

I've heard from others that site makes reliable computers, and a £5-600 system from there will run Left 4 Dead and TF2 at good speeds on high to very high at your resolution (I think you said it was 1024z768)

DO NOT GO TO PC WORLD!!

Every PC I have seen from them comes out of the box slow, bogged down with rubbish and usually break just outside of warranty period. Come with shoddy parts that barely does the job and are specced as low as possible for what they are.

ok now thats done with how about novatech gaming pc without windows installed
