Oki, While trying to upload a picture to a website, it asked me to find picture i wanted to load, the usal, but when i was looking for my picture folder i noticed 4 folders, that where all outside my hard drive, they where apprently on my desktop, but dont show up as such, More concerning is that my anti-virus says they dont exists, and when i selected all 4 and look at their properties, 24mb was inside so they arent empty. I tried moving, deleting, and creating a folder inside them, but internet explorer crashed each time i did so (im looking at them through the image uploader still)

In windows folder options, do you have 'show hidden folders' enabled?

In XP (and earlier) open a folder (my documents will do), open tools > folder options > 'view' tab

In advanced settings, find 'hidden files and folders' and select 'show hidden files and folders'

If you knew this and tried it already, I'm stumped.

I tried deleting them, 1 deleted but then the other 3 all empied themselves when i tried and said file not found...

Only reference I can see to those files are to do with Runescape. Have you installed Runescape at any point?

Why is that one folder sensored?

all i can suggest is checking the ol' msconfig and kill everything non essential then try deleting, also whats the file called?

Are they not network shares from your my docs folder?

Looks to me like theyre outside the C directory tree but within the My Computer tree.

They could either be on your local machine or just a cache from if someone else has connected to your network at any point and it mapped a route to the share. if you turn off automatic file and print share discovery in folder options (in XP anyway, not sure about vista) it will get rid of any cached shares in My Computer.

Don't think theyre anything to worry about anyway, I reckon theyre from installing a game which requires shared access to folders for multiplayer network capability. Plus possibly not even on your pc as explained above.
