I hope you are right about it Pils, I'm currently using a wireless mouse but the amount of batteries it goes through are starting to annoy me.

Dude does it have any shiny bits or flashing lights?
Ohhhhh you talking about a Neural Interface Actuator? Haha! See! I know my stuff, oh yeah I'm down with it!
Noone's touching my Brain-fingers! (though they do look like a giggle)
Habu was a little big but I'm hoping killing the firmware and stuff on another machine might somehow fix it. It wont.
I've never played with wireless mice or internet connections as I just assume cables and wires must be faster. I was still using an optical PS2 till a while back- super reliable mouse.
try playing a console beat-em-up against a m8 with wire vs wireless, it strange how much of a diff there is

For the money you cant go wrong bed. It feels a little small and light at first coming from a wireless mouse with batteries, but for a wired mouse its actually quite heavy for its size. Comes with teflon feet (mine came with spares too) too. Slides really well on my nova pad, but basically any hard surface is good.
The best test of a good mouse is to set the dpi to maximum and move your mouse left and right over a 30cm distance really fast. If the optical engne in the mouse can keep up your pointer will go left and right with your hand movement, if not itll go mad all over the screen, or tend to 2hover" at one side of the screen. I have a sharkoon gamer mouse here (utterly rubbish) that does that at any DPI over 400, the GM-4600 tracks perfectly up to and including 2000dpi, no random moverment at all.
10 quid shitty wireless mouse or 12 quid for good gaming wired mouse hmmmmm i think you have to bed retarded or have a battery lodged in your head to think the wireless one is better, seriously good feet on a mouse make all a difference for things where you actually have to aim, if i had 80ms lag on a mouse i wouldnt be able to play at all due to the way i shoot with quick sharp movements not quick arm movements stop to eat a biscuit for a second while the mouse catches up and then shoot the guy

Dunno Ares, ive always found with mice that if you're used to a dodgy mouse then you don't realise how much its affecting you until you swap to a better one.
I don't think ill replace this one until it dies tbh.
Forgot to say, if you install the OCZ software you can adjust sensitivity for your mouse axis independantly, also can record and assign macros. The only thing you dont get that the OCZ has is 2500dpi, you get a max of 2000dpi.
well iv got a packard bell co-3up, its about 5 years old and is very hard to get it to spaker out. i honestly think if you go simple you'll be fine, it seems to me that the alleged "gaming" mice are all crap yeh the old school wired opticals are good enough.
Coming fro ma guy using a crap mouse, i would of said the same but they really help

I have a £10 Logitech wireless mouse and it's annoying. Batteries keep dying, sometimes the pointer goes all over the screen, or it wont turn on altogether.
Logitech G5, mains has never ran out yet (or rather my pc) usb port is over clocked to 1000Hz so the delay on it is ~0.1 seconds less than or similar to my reaction tiems so there is never an delay on movement and it has (had :p ) the best teflon feet ever till i screwed them abit and never spazzes across the screen no matter how fast i move my hand which is very fast, due to the way i play.
