i got this hardware monitor prog running at the mo, and it reckons i'm only getting -5v on the -12v rail, is that good or bad?

the other voltages look fine

that depends.... is anything f****** up on your computer? I think those sys diagnostic programs are alright but a lot of the time they might just be scare-mongering. You might want to pop into BIOS just to confirm a bit more accurately as well (god knows how those program's get their information, but if you can check it at a lower level it should be more reliable info).

Also whats the quality of your components? if your motherboard and power supply are relativly cheap i'd be a bit more concerned than if they were top of the line. can't hurt to make sure you know where all your product warranties are :p

my stuff is too old for warranties, i'll check in the bios at the next reboot

Nah dont worry about it. Its just mis-reading your voltage lines. Check in bios hardware monitor, but tbh if nothing smells like burning or crashes its probably ok :).
