Ok, I just purchased a couple of these off play.com for £35 as I was getting fed up with my wireless dropping its connection.

Has anyone had any experience using this type of connectivity? Are they any good? easy to setup etc.. ?

I use them in my house.

They are very good, no problems at all with them and they are plug n play!

Basically its an ethernet adapter that uses your home power lines to distribute the network information. You can get wireless ones too.

connection quality is highly dependent on the quality of the wires and wiring in your house

Ok thanks for the advice, the ones I am getting are 85mbs ones so hopefully that should be enough for what I need.

Ok, I just got these and I am well impressed , they worked straight out of the box and no configuration required.

Getting 74mbs through my house which is a victorian terrace which probably has really old wiring.

:D

glad it works well for you [beer]

its normally complex wireing that makes them loose alot of reception. for office use just forget it :P but most houses should be ok unless you live in a highrise or condo
