I've had this problem for a long time but it doesn't affect me too much as I've got our servers in my favourites and never really play anywhere else - but my brothers are also experiencing the same problem now so I thought I'd come ask advice.
Basically in source games, such as TF2, HL2:DM and source mods my brothers can't see ANY internet games - I've trawled through Steam support and found this https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4219-RTFJ-2715 which is basically the problem they're having.
I've tried all the recommended fixes - gone through the list of programs which may conflict with the games, made sure the ports are open, even deleted all files in the steam folder apart from steam.exe and the steamapps folder, but nothing's worked so far.
Windows firewall is off, no other firewall is on, antivirus is disabled - I'm sort of stuck.

Any ideas?
Reinstall everything?

Re: Source Game Problem
Reset your tcp/ip stack and windows firewall from a command prompt dude.
"netsh int ip reset" ///to reset your tcp/ip stack "netsh winsock reset" ///to reset your windows firewall
Suggest turning on UPnP on both PCs and routers - can sort many issues with port forwarding automatically.
May need to set up ip address/network key etc again after this so make sure you know all the relevant networking settings before doing this.
Shot in the dark, but if its firewall related and has worked in the past that will get you back to a clean slate as regards ports/network settings. Let me know how you get on dude.
