Post Troubles since Win 7 upgrade
Since I installed Windows 7 my game has gotten worse and worse. My ping has gone from a comfortable 20-30 to around 60 with tons of choke. I can really feel the latency ingame. My hitreg is pants, people warp when I'm shooting at them and projectiles are delayed.

My aim has also gone reallly shoddy and I can't get my mouse to feel right. Turns are really slow, the speed feels capped, but aiming in general is really twitchy and I'm constantly over aiming.

I have:

Used this supposed mouse acceleration fix. It seems to have made no difference.

I've tried the network fix mentioned elsewhere on the forum. (The registry tweak one)

I've tried all kinds of net settings for TF2. Hasn't made a difference.

I've tried different versions of network drivers. I've tried with router, and directly into the modem. Doesn't make a difference.

For the record my mobo is this one.

I can't roll back to Vista because my disc conveniently broke. I also can't afford any upgrades right now. Any ideas?

Try this, it dropped my ping to the half. ;)

(Thanks to K3D :))

Check to see if you are affected by win7 59hz bug. This caused me to have a very muddy feeling response from mouse movements.

Right mouse button on desktop>screen resolution>advanced settings>monitor.

See if it says 59Hz there, if it does and you set it to 60 close the window and navigate back there and it has reverted back to 59Hz then you are affected.

See below for fixes if so.

You can also use a program like powerstrip below to force a custom refresh but try the above first.

Ah sweet atleast you can tick that one off then as that was a hard bugger to track down at first I just knew that something didn't feel right.

Hope you get it better though dude, you tried reducing all the fancy effects down to cut the ammount of resources 7 is trying to use btw? Also the indexing stuff and theres a few others that kick in when you really don't want them too.
