Anyone else tried the new solutions I posted maybe?
(can this not be moved to tf2 forum again? Its not a general "Technical Issue" since its only related to tf2 which is basicly software)
updated network drivers seemed to improve my ping more then my fps tbh. I've taken to installing an fps config (chris' fps config)
I found the highframes fps config took me from having about 60 avereage (with dips into 40 in heavy firefights) to a 100 average (with dips to 60). Really smooth sailing, and surprisingly little quality loss.
Which console command in that config gives you these huuge pixels? I want to play with that, looks awesome.
Haven't tried those new tweaks, don't think I have issues with either currently, the other tweaks are awesome though, certainly smoothed out the general performance of TF on all settings.

Re: Team Fortress 2 Possible FPS boost / Fix
It appears that TF2 always has vsync on. Even if you explicitly disable it in the game's settings. Even if you play in Windowed mode(where it shouldn't work).
Since vsync clamps your framerate to 60/30/15/7 if it drops even 1 FPS lower than the previous step, your framerate will likely be jumping all over the place.
Try forcing vsync off in your video card's control panel. It smoothed out my framerate a great deal.

Well, not for me I guess, when I turn it off in settings my fps go up to about 120 and with vsync they stay at 60(59).
I took the decision to move your post here for a couple of reasons, firstly there have been a few discussions on commands and game optimisation and they've all been in this forum. The other being this forum should mean you're much less likely to get the topic filled with spam.
It's a good topic and really does belong in here mate.
If I ever get some quality game time in one of these days I will try out these commands as I'm a bit of an enthusiast for this stuff.

I would reaslly appreciate some testing from you 3F since it could help a lot of other guys @ the community here .. but at least I can tell from my game that it runs much more smoothly now.
