Then it'll be under communications network IC's on the left menu.
Yeah sorry I should have clarified, I'm not sure if I have the gigabit chip or the fast ethernet chip. I'll have to go dig out the manuals.

Re: Team Fortress 2 Possible FPS boost / Fix
Yeah you need to find the RTL**** code mate lookin at the driver sections. If you can't manage that then fluff will have to post the source for the article. Something that is common curtoeusy when you are borrowing someone elses's work fluff.
was the original link mentioned in the post, PCIe Ethernet vom Realtek.
Yeah, I forgot to mention the source sry!!!!!
EDIT: I had no description of my ethernet connection at all but this one worked out [the autoinstaller seems to recognize what you really have (maybe)]

Which console command in that config gives you these huuge pixels? I want to play with that, looks awesome.
Haven't tried those new tweaks, don't think I have issues with either currently, the other tweaks are awesome though, certainly smoothed out the general performance of TF on all settings.
Try mat_picmip 4 ... btw, they changed the command cause Mac Users cant have Ultra High Res textures...-10 is not possible anymore.
btw: is there anything i need to do to transfer this tweak to a dual core (C2D) ? everything i've tried just makes it worse. The option -threads 2 + disabling core0 just shift's the load to the second core. Thereby still maxing out one of them. if i enable both cores, both get maxed. In any case it stutters. If i leave multi core rendering disabled and everything else standard it runs reasonably fine.
I posted some new cvars in my first post to give you some fps more and even max out the details (and maybe fps) on your multicore machine (tested with i7-920). So go check it out and tell me if it maybe worked
