Post Momentary lockups
Hi all,

Has anyone experienced a similar problem to this...

When playing TF2 - Occasionally the screen will just lock for a second or so (sods law dictates this will be when a rocket is heading straight for my face). It then frees up an and carries on as if nothing had happened.

I'm running a dual core (Pentium D) processor, 2gb RAM, BFG8800 graphics, and Windows Vista

Any suggestions as to where I should start looking?

Connection problems? Might be getting choked up.
Run net_graph 3 in console to see.

I get that that fairly often. I just put it down to my old decrepit computer (I'm sure it groans and sweats dust) and slightly inadequate wireless adaptor.

It's unfortunate they keep pushing for wireless these days. It has it's advantages of course. But it will never be as reliable.

Well, I'm not on wireless so it can't be that.

However, my computer isn't great (memory isn't 100% compatible with the mobo and the processor is out of date)

I've been meaning to upgrade, perhaps now is the time :)

Just a thought but probaly not, do you have good airflow in your pc, Pentium D's get very warm and thats one big card which makes alot of heat, so maybe it could be something to do with that, ive known high incase heat to cause game crashes before.

That happens to me a lot. I even have an external fan which seems to help slightly :)
